		<description>Hi, congrats on your purchase of the SX1 IS. 

What I did for the close-up pictures was to set the dial at P mode and engaged the super macro feature of the camera.

As for the cock fighting, the camera  was set at Tv and I increased the speed to 1/400 and took the picture in continuous shooting mode. I was able to shoot at high shutter speed because of the bright sunny day. 

After I had taken the picture, I played the role of a peace maker and separated the two fighting roosters :)</description>
