Several visitors of this blog and my Flickr photopage have asked me if it is possible to show how the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS performs in low light.
Well, here is one of the shots I managed to compose. This is an out-of-camera image with no post-processing done, except for resizing to fit this blog’s width, cropping to tighten the composition and minor sharpening.

Here are the photo’s properties: Camera: Canon PowerShot SX1 IS; Exposure: 1 sec, Aperture: f/8; Focal Length: 15.5mm; ISO Speed: 80; Self-timer: 0.1; Focus Mode: Manual Focus.

mmmmm…caffeine. I love the lighting! It’s amazing. It totally enhances the shape of the Nescafe jar. It’s kind of seductive…in a weird way. How you doing, by the way? I haven’t heard from you in awhile.
Doing fine… kind of busy trying to get my other blogs off the ground
Oh, I knew blog? Hmm…that sounds cool. What kind of blog? Photography?
Not really new.. they are older than this blog but have yet to pick up readership; and the posts are few and far in between.
Actually, this macro photography blog is my most successful blog, maybe because this is the topic I am passionate about..
Hmm…yeah, it takes a lot of work to keep up a blog and make it popular. I certainly love this blog of yours a lot, so I’m sure your others will do great. Good luck!
Hey, I love those candles, did you make them yourself or did you buy them? If you made them, I would love to know more.
