Bokeh is the Japanese word for “blur” but in photography-speak, the term refers to the blurriness of lights within a photograph. While bokeh effect can be easily achieved using a DSLR camera, it is quite tricky with point-and-shoot camera.
But you can still bokeh with ordinary digital camera, especially those that offer complete manual control. This is an example of bokeh — not a good one, but bokeh enough — taken with the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS.
