I doubt there will be many visitors coming to this blog from Alaska, so this blog entry is really a long shot. This entry is here for a reason — I’ve just finished reading “Alaska” by James A. Michener, a 900-page well-researched epic novel which tells the story of a land spanning from the era of time forgotten to its present day.
Back to the topic, the Alaska Wilderness League and Alaska Wilderness Recreation and Tourism Association (AWRTA) are organising a photography contest to “highlight and capture the extraordinary values” found on Alaska’s public lands “with engaging photographs and stories.”
I would want to see how the participants capture the land I’ve just had the pleasure of reading about. Contest is underway from April 1 to May 15, 2009. Details of Alaska photography contest can be obtained here.
