Tilt-shift photography its about using tilt-shift lenses, to avoid “skewed” appearance of tall objects, which normally occurs when we take pictures of buildings.

One can also do “selective focusing” using tilt-shift lenses and tilt-swing lenses, like those produced by Lensbaby, making only certain part of a scene to appear in focus. If you don’t have such a lens, you can still mimic the effect using Photoshop.
