Charles Darwin
Residents of the United Kingdom who want to participate in a photography competition which celebrates Charles Darwin’s fascination of nature, will have until Oct 11 this year to submit their photos with the theme “Exploring and Investigating Nature.”
The competition is organised by The Grant Museum of Zoology in collaboration with The Horniman Museum, and Institute of Biology Darwin 200.
The invitation for entries says, “Charles Darwin’s career was founded on his childhood fascination with the plants and animals on his own doorstep. This fascination took him around the world and led to an understanding of life that has shaped the modern world. It is Darwin’s spirit of exploration and investigation that, with the generous support of theWellcome Trust, we aim to celebrate in the hope that it may inspire the same spirit in our visitors.”
The deadline is on Oct 11 while the opening and exhibition is on Nov 19. Further information on the photo contest, here.
