This picture of a monkey spider — it does look like monkey if you look at it from a different angle — is taken with Canon Powershot SX1 IS, with the Raynox DCR-250 super macro conversion lens attached.

I’ve put the SX1 IS-DCR-250 combination to test during my recent trip to Borneo. Overall I’m satisfied with it because I can now take macro pictures which would have been impossible to shoot without the conversion lens.
Having said that, it had not been easy shooting this shot. Trying to get the spider in focus was painstaking due to the extremely narrow depth-of-field. Even a hair-thin movement could throw things out of focus.
There will be more photos soon. I am also working on a review of the Raynox DCR-250-Canon PowerShot SX1 IS combination and it should be out towards the end of the coming week.
