Photomarathon Asia, probably the region’s biggest photography competition, is back this year covering six countries.
They are Vietnam (Hanoi/Oct 2, Ho Chi Minh City/Oct 10), Indonesia (Jakarta/Oct 10), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur/Oct 10), Singapore (Oct 10), Thailand (Bangkok/Oct 17) and India (Delhi/Oct 24, Mumbai/Oct 25 and Bangalore/Oct 25).
In Malaysia, the event will be held at Sunway Lagoon, Kuala Lumpur from 7am to 9pm.
A Canon EOS 50D and a trip to a photography clinic in Japan await the grand prize winner.
Entry fee is waived for Canon camera owners; non-Canon owners will have to pay RM30. Any digital camera — compact or DSLR — is acceptable for the competition. It is after all the man or woman behind the camera that makes the picture.
