Common Mynas Are One Grumpy Bird

Common mynas are one unhappy bird. Even when they are singing, they have this expression of being in perpetual anger.

Who wouldn’t? They have been labelled as one of only three birds categorised under “100 of the worst invasive species” by the World Conservation Union. Everywhere they go, they carry that tag — quite a tag to be grumpy about.

Taken with the Pentax K-7 plus SMC PENTAX DA 18-250MM F3.5-6.3 ED AL(IF) from a distance of seven metres. These are crops from the original pictures.
