The Pentax K-x colour mania is set to heighten from now on when the new multicoloured camera ships to markets around the world.

In Japan, the K-x is “invading” stores in burst of colour. As if the 100 colour style is not enough, Pentax is also releasing a limited edition of the K-x in “robotic” colour scheme, also for Japan-only market.

Consumers in other parts of the world can only hope that this colourful camera will be available in their area.

This is good marketing but beyond that, the camera is also a performer in its own right. Some say it performs better than either the K20D or K-7 in terms of high ISO shooting.

Just hope Pentax won’t get carried away with this colour scheme thing, and come up with a professional camera in various colours as well. That would be preposterous.
