Casio Japan has announced the released of the Exhilim EX-FH25, with headline features include a 10 megapixel back-lit CMOS sensor, continuous shot of up to 40fps in still mode at 9 megapixel resolution, video mode of up to 1000fps which allows movies to be played in extreme slow motion, and 20x optical zoom (26-520mm).
Casio Exilim EX-FH25... undisputed king of speed
It also includes a BS feature in both movie and still modes. BS is Best Shot, by the way. The press release is here (Japanese translation).
After a frenzied release of wide angle super zoom cameras early this year, is this going to be the last one for the year 2009?

That sounds like ideal for bird and wildlife photography? never owned a Casio what’s the IQ like on their cams? I had a casio watch in early 80’s which was pretty good for the money.
Wish they’d stop bringing out all these goodies to tempt me, my list to Santa is getting longer by the day! LoL

The features are quite tempting. About the IQ, not sure about this one but the camera it replaces, the EX-FH20, suffers from criticism over its IQ.
Maybe Casio has taken note of that and hopefully made improvement to it; perhaps that is the reason why Casio has put in back-illuminated CMOS sensor in this one.

Certainly looks interesting but will have to wait and see how it performs.
