The ability of a camera to reproduce colour as close to its original as possible is one of the most important thing to look for when buying a camera.

The picture above was taken with Pentax K-7 with smc PENTAX-DA 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 ED AL [IF] lens, aperture at f/6.3, sensitivity at ISO 400. This is as close as any camera could get to reproducing the colours of this rooster.
Although we may want to tweak the colours, lighting, white balance and sharpness later on using software such as Lightroom, it is important to be able to get things accurate right from the beginning.
