Panasonic further revolutionise its G mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with the introduction of the 12.1-megapixel G2, bringing on board touch sensitive screen where users can do a number of things.
With just tapping on the screen, one can select which object to focus, tell the camera to track a moving object and keep it in focus as well as taking pictures.
There are other things you can do by touching the screen.
In manual focus, you can touch an image on the LCD and the camera instantly show a magnified view of the image, making it easy to check if the object is in focus.
You can also adjust the exposure compensation by sliding your finger on the aperture and shutter speed settings in the exposure meter shown on the LCD, adjust photo size, ISO sensitivity and white balance.
In playback mode, you can scroll through images by sliding your finger on the LCD and zoom in to enlarge them by up to 16x. Other features include:

- Dedicated movie recording button
- 3.0-Inch Free-Angle LCD with High 460,000-Dot Resolution
- Dedicated iA button. Pressing it allows the G2 automatically determines the most suitable Scene mode
- AF Tracking which automatically and continuously tracks a moving object and keeps it in focus until the shutter is released
- The Venus Engine HD II incorporates two CPUs which boosts image processing speed and improves noise-reduction
- Intelligent Resolution Technology that optimises edge sharpness
- Supersonic wave filter to repel dusts and other particles from the sensor.
