Sony HX5V, Fujifilm FinePix HS10 Voted Best Compact, Superzoom Cameras 2010

If you are looking for the best compact or superzoom cameras among dozens of new cameras released so far this year, perhaps you can start with these two cameras, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V and Fujifilm FinePix HS10, voted the best in their respective classes at the recent TIPA 2010.

Of course, what is best is relative to one’s own preference. My best may not even your second.

Both cameras are not perfect, for instance the HX5V has no aperture or shutter priority, and the HS10′s zoom reach is slightly less than that of the Olympus SP-800UZ because the FinePix starts at a wider angle, but these two cameras should be able to serve as a standard for both segments, cameras you can always go back to when the search gets a little confusing. Happy hunting!
