Samsung EX1, which is now selling in South Korea and North America is making waves on the World Wide Web, with lucky early bird users posting their experience and praising it for its image quality.
With the EX1′s f1.8 lens and 1.7-inch sensor, which is larger than the sensor on most compact cameras, you want to know two things — is the image quality excellent? Can it shoot super-duper low light images?
If you are curious as I am curious right now, here are some appetizers: Samsung EX1 vs Panasonic LX3 high ISO and image quality comparison [translated], Samsung EX1 vs Canon PowerShot G10, Samsung EX1 ISO 800 sample images, and more Samsung EX1 sample images.
I hope the camera will become available in my area before my trip back to Borneo early next month. This seems to be a good companion for my Pentax K-7 which, despite being the most compact DSLR, is still bulky and conspicuous for street shooting.
