Not Quite Hipstamatic For Symbian, Nokia N8, But Molome Is A Step Closer

If someone asks me what would be the best photography app currently available for Symbian smartphones, or specifically the Nokia N8, my answer would be Molome. Although not quite as hype–yet–and as well-named as Hipstamatic for iPhone, it nevertheless is a step in the right direction.

The Beta version of Molome is now available for free download at Ovi Store. Basically, it allows you to apply filters — Auto Level, Vignette, Blackborder, Viridescent, Crossy, Parlo, Vintage, SmartBlue, GentleArt, Sunset, Old Film, Tilt Shift, Old Paper, Black & White, Sepia, red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Slide Film — to your picture.

The downside is, you have to be online to be able to use Molome and you can’t make adjustment to any of the preset filters.

Below are some of my early attempts at Molo-ing. You can follow my Molo progress here.

Please bear in mind that Molome is still in Beta. I’m sure it will grow very popular among Nokia user.

JS
