Coconut Crab

Date November 10, 2007

This one would not pose for you. It would just stay in this position in his aquarium until you run out of patience. So you’d be left with limited angle to explore. The good part is that you could take your time composing your shot without having to worry it might just move away.

The Dancing Jellyfish

Date November 7, 2007

Location: Underwater World, Sentosa Island, Singapore. Here’s what makes this shot difficult to take:

  • The jelly fish would not stop dancing, making it difficult to freeze their movement.
  • They were inside an aquarium so if I use flashlight to freeze their movement, the light would bounce off the aquarium glass.
  • The lights inside the aquarium was not enough to capture the subject with fast shutter speed.

So what did I do? I increase the ISO from 50 to 100, set the camera to P for programme, and set my heart also to P for prayer.
